The current account balance is expected to see a deficit of USD 2.72bn in May, according to an Anadolu Agency survey.
The Central Bank will release the balance of payments data next Friday.
Forecasts of a group of 15 economists for the month ranged between USD 1.2bn and USD 3.35bn.
The end-2021 current account balance is projected to post a deficit of USD 25.8bn, with estimates ranging between USD 20bn and USD 31.5bn.
In April, the country’s current account deficit was USD 1.7bn, bringing the 12-month rolling deficit to USD 32.7bn.
