The consumer confidence index dropped by 7.5% to 80.2 points in April, compared to the previous month, according to the consumer tendency survey prepared by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank.
Thus, the index fell to the lowest level of the year.
The consumer confidence index reached 86.7 points in March.
The seasonally adjusted index continued to remain below the threshold value of 100 points, indicating a pessimistic outlook in consumer confidence.
