CCI ACQUIRES MAJORITY SHARE OF LLC CCCBU

The non-alcohol beverage company Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI) has signed a share purchase agreement with the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (UzSAMA) to acquire majority shares in LLC Coca-Cola Bottlers (CCBU) Uzbekistan. CCI, which joined the competitive open sales process to privatize CCBU, presented its final offer worth USD 252.2m for a 57.118% share in CCBU valued at USD 430m. With the purchase, CCI will cover 435 million people in 11 countries with, according to Burak Basarir, CEO of CCI. The acquisition process will be completed within two months from the signature date of the share purchase agreement following the relevant customary approvals.
