AXA Sigorta has secured its position in the Bloomberg Gender-Equity Index (GEI) this year with because of efforts in social gender equality. Evaluated on five different criteria, including female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, sexual harassment policies and pro-woman brand, AXA has managed to enter the index for the fourth time. “As AXA Sigorta, we are working on initiatives that enrich women’s lives both inside and outside the company,” said Yavuz Olken, CEO of AXA Sigorta. AXA had previously signed the United Nations’ Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). 54% of employees are female in the company. The Bloomberg GEI evaluates 380 public companies from 40 different industries across the world, which have commitments to gender equality.
