Turkey’s automobile and light commercial vehicle market sales increased by 60.8 percent in the 11 months of the year compared to the same period of 2022, reaching a record level of 1 million 73 thousand 982 units.
The market was at its second-highest level in history in November after a ten-month record streak.
According to data released by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), automobile sales increased by 54.4 percent to 91,424 units in November, while the light commercial vehicle market increased by 2.3 percent to 23,616 units.
In the January-November period, the total automobile and light commercial vehicle market increased by 60.8 percent to 1.07 million units. Sales exceeded 1 million a month before the end of the year, guaranteeing that annual sales will break a record.
In the 11-month period of the year, automobile sales increased by 66.2 percent to 840,925 units and the light commercial vehicle market increased by 43.7 percent to 233,057 units.
According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), Togg’s monthly deliveries were recorded as 4,401 in November.
In the same period, Tesla’s monthly deliveries were 900.
Looking at 2023 sales, Togg’s deliveries were 13,572, while Tesla sales were recorded as 11,600.
BYD deliveries started with 552 units in November. Another electric brand, Skywell’s cumulative sales in 2023 amounted to 2,541.
