Ali Ozuer has been appointed the Group Head of AbdiBio, the pharmaceutical firm Abdi Ibrahim’s investment and foray into the biotechnology field. Ozuer, who worked in biotechnology for 26 years in the U.S., received his bachelor’s degree from Middle East Technical University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. He then completed his master’s and doctoral degrees, also in Chemical Engineering, at the University of Pittsburgh. He also completed a second master’s degree in clinical research and as well as an MBA. Ozuer began his career as a process engineer at SEKA, then Ozuer returned to the U.S. with an offer to work as the University of Pittsburgh’s viral gene therapy vector production senior project manager.
