AK GIDA FOCUSES ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Ak Gida’s dairy products arm, Icim, plans to invest in digital transformation, sustainability, capacity increases, automation, and occupational health and safety, according to Ali Sozen, its CEO. The company regularly invests over EUR 20m every year and increased its turnover by 25% in 2020. It expects double-digit growth in 2021. The company has carried out R&D and innovation studies since 2018. And now has a product range topping 300 products. The company’s annual exports exceed USD 30m, or 20,000 tonnes of products, to more than 30 countries. The company recently exported 200 tonnes of whey powder to China. The company has received the certificate of approval for Icim Labne (Labneh) and Icim Taze Peynir (Fresh Cream Cheese) production plants in Sakarya for exports to the EU.
