Political parties to speed up field work

Though the parliament remains closed for the summer recess, deputies have been busy campaigning in the districts and are expected to accelerate their campaigns until October 1. With the end of the Eid holidays, politicians are again in the field meeting face to face with citizens.

At the last group meeting before Parliament went into recess, President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan requested that AK Party deputies visit electoral districts in the summer months to mobilize the party organizations and reach citizens from all walks of life. All of the AK Party’s organizations, from the party administration to its women and youth branches, will be in the field together with deputies. Problems will be determined one by one in all 81 provinces and the requests and complaints of citizens will be noted, determinations will be set on a provincial basis, and they will be put into a report. In particular, problems faced by tradespeople and SMEs related to the pandemic and steps to be taken for the upcoming period will be discussed at meetings to be held with businesspeople and economists, non-governmental organizations, and chambers of commerce. The necessary steps will be taken after the reports are prepared.

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Leader, Devlet Bahceli, who said that there is no holiday in politics, requested deputies to reach every citizen in electoral districts.

The Republican People’s Party (CHP) Leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who said that the CHP has never worked so hard in its history, pointed out its deputies will continue to be in the field. Deputies and party managers will meet with citizens, notably tradespeople and farmers, with the participation of its organizations. CHP will meet with citizens with its Eastern Desk, Tradespeople Desk and Economy Desk. The CHP, which will also give weight to provinces where it has low votes, will visit the eastern cities with the Eastern Desk.

IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Aksener has resumed her regular provincial visits and meetings with citizens after Eid. IYI Party deputies will also convene with citizens in other cities outside of electoral districts.

The People’s Democratic Party (HDP) will continue its ‘Bread and Work Meetings’ in the summer months, which were kicked off from Diyarbakir last January. HDP will convene with citizens with meetings initiated under the leadership of the Central Executive Board and the party’s Economy Commission. HDP Co-chairs Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar will meet with citizens with the ‘We’re the HDP, we’re everywhere’ programs.
