According to the bank’s statement, the research examines the development of debit and credit card ownership in Türkiye, trends in card spending, the growth of e-commerce, and the prevalence of contactless payments. The findings show that the use of card payments continues to strengthen both in terms of volume and consumer habits.
As of the end of 2025, the total number of debit and credit cards in Türkiye increased by 5.8% compared to the previous year, reaching 460 million cards.
